Les filières Émile Noël : un voyage du terroir français aux terres du monde

Emile Noël supply chains: a journey from French terroir to the lands of the world

For over 100 years, Emile Noël has cultivated a simple conviction: great oils always come from great seeds .

This heritage, inscribed in the brand's DNA, still guides the creation of organic, fair and sustainable supply chains today, both in France and internationally.

From French terroirs to distant cultures, each partnership forged by Émile Noël contributes to preserving biodiversity, promoting agricultural know-how and guaranteeing exceptional oils.

French sectors: the excellence of our local regions

Rooted in its native Provence, the brand has developed strong local supply chains, in partnership with passionate farmers. These collaborations allow us to produce unique organic oils, full of character and terroir.

  • Cameline BIOPARTENAIRE®– cultivated in Creuse, Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, this sector includes 9 farms in crop rotation, committed since 2018.
  • Hemp– cultivated in the Aube and Creuse regions, an innovative crop in this livestock farming region, developed with experts.
  • Flax BIOPARTENAIRE®– French sector initiated in 2018, bringing together 9 farms, with certification in 2021, as well as a cooperative in Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
  • Sunflower BIOPARTENAIRE®– from a 100% organic cooperative in Occitanie, bringing together nearly 1,200 producers.
  • Périgord walnuts– an oil with character, made with local producers.
  • PDO Haute-Provence and Vallée des Baux-de-Provence olive oil– direct collaborations with passionate olive growers, guaranteeing intense and authentic oils.

These French supply chains demonstrate Emile Noël's deep attachment to local agricultural wealth and the culinary heritage of our regions.

International supply chains: meeting producers from around the world

Emile Noël's commitment extends beyond French borders. Since 1985, the brand has developed international solidarity networks, to support farming communities and preserve traditional crops.

  • Argan from Morocco BIOPARTENAIRE®– created in 2006, this sector supports rural women's cooperatives, guarantors of ancestral know-how.
  • Avocado from Kenyan BIOPARTENAIRE®– since 2010, direct partnerships with small producers to guarantee fair incomes and eliminate intermediaries.
  • Coconut from Sao Tome BIOPARTENAIRE®– a solidarity project to support a local producer and diversify the island's resources.
  • Hazelnuts from Turkey BIOPARTENAIRE® – developed in 2008 with Agrosourcing, to secure farms and support producers in the face of climate change.
  • Avocado from Guinea – creation of a local oil mill in 2018, to enhance local production and create employment.
  • Sesame from Mali BIOPARTENAIRE®– one of Émile Noël's very first solidarity-based initiatives, launched in the 1980s and sustained by Emile Noel Mali Foundation active since 2014.

These projects embody a vision: to promote organic and fair trade on a global scale, by sustainably supporting agricultural communities.

The BIOPARTENAIRE® label: a guarantee of fairness and transparency

Many Emile Noël programs are certified BIOPARTENAIRE®, a demanding certification based on:

  • multi-year contracts with producers,
  • a fair and remunerative minimum price,
  • a guarantee of market opportunities,
  • a development fund to finance local projects.

This label is the concrete expression of fair trade applied to organic products with total transparency and sustainable commitments.

Choosing an Emile Noël oil means supporting much more than a tradition of excellence.

It means participating in a human and solidarity-based adventure that connects French terroirs to the lands of the world, making each bottle a symbol of quality, respect and sharing.
